From Grade 1, all learners are encouraged to participate in the many extramural activities offered at Hurlyvale Primary School.
Term 1: Mini-cricket (Gr1-2), Cricket (Gr3-7), Rugby, Netball, Swimming and Tennis
Term 2: Mini-netball (Gr1-2), Netball (Gr3-7), Mini-soccer (Gr1-2), Soccer (Gr3-7), Tennis and Cross-Country
Term 3: Athletics, Tag-rugby (Gr1-2), Rugby (Gr3-7), Touch Rugby (Girls), Mini Hockey (Gr1-3), Hockey (Gr4-7), Girls Soccer (Gr7), Cross-Country, Netball, Drummies and Tennis
Term 4: Mini-cricket (Gr1-2), Cricket (Gr3-7), Swimming, Drummies and Tennis.
These sporting activities are run as part of the school programme and there is no charge for these.

From Grade 1 we encourage all learners to participate in the many extramural activities that we have on offer.
Foundation Phase – Art Club, Cooking Club, Bible Study, Chess, Zuma, Debating and Choir.
Intersen and Senior Phase – Zumba, Drumming, Debating, Cultural Club, Wildlife Club, Bible Study, Chess, Science Club, Arts and Crafts, Choir, Flourish Club and Bible Club.
Eisteddfod – Children take part in performing individual and group poetry. Singing and instruments are also part of the Eisteddfod.
Percussion group – Instrumental group plays for Eisteddfod and school functions.
Library – Open Mon – Thurs afternoons.
Computer Centre is open most afternoons for research and project work.
Concerts take place on a 3-year cycle – Junior, Senior, and Arts Alive which is a talent show.
Private lessons on the school premises include: Drums, Ballet, Dance Mouse, Violin, Piano, Gymnastics, Guitar & Ukulele, Clarinet, Saxaphone and Recorder. These lessons are for the parent’s account.
An extramural that introduces robotics through the use of LEGO education products. This encourages learning through designing, building, coding, playing and problem solving.
