The Foundation Phase caters for boys and girls in Grades 1, 2 and 3. There are 4 classes in each Grade.

Academics in this phase includes the 4 learning areas namely:

• English
• Mathematics
• Life Skills
• Afrikaans

Additional learning areas include:

• Library
  The learners are taken to the school library once a week and are entitled to choose a book to take home and read.
  We encourage them to read as much as possible.
• Digital Literacy, Coding & Robotics
  Learners attend this class in the computer lab for an hour a week.
  Here, they learn typing skills, Google Workspace, digital literacy and block coding and robotics.
• Physical Education
  Twice a week the learners attend PE class.
• Music
  Learners attend music classes once a week.

Good work is rewarded with merit awards which are presented in assembly.
Reports are issued at the end of each term.
