Sports participants are expected to be correctly attired, neat and clean. This includes footwear and uniform. A learner may be suspended from participating in matches or galas if these aspects are neglected. In all sports, learners are required to tuck their shirts into their shorts or skirts. No shirts may hang out.
Learners are encouraged to use headgear (school caps or hats) at all sport functions. Headgear must be turquoise with the school badge.
All of the regulation uniforms can be purchased at our official suppliers.
Physical Education
The uniform comprises Black boxer shorts, a coloured house T-shirt or Grade T-shirt and sports takkies when required.
Swimming Galas
Please Note: Girls two piece or bikini costumes or boys baggy costumes are not allowed.
Tennis Matches
Boys: Regulation turquoise shorts and harlequin shirt. Short plain white socks and plain white takkies or white trainers with white laces.
The tracksuit top may be worn in cold weather.
Cricket
Cricket Matches:
White shorts with regulation short-sleeved white summer shirt complete with embroidered school badge. Long white School soccer socks worn with plain white tennis shoes or cricket boots with white laces. Hurlyvale cap or hat.
Practices and Inter-house cricket:
House T-shirt with white shorts and soccer socks. Plain white tennis shoes or cricket boots with white laces.
Mini-Cricket:
Harlequin shirt with plain white shorts. Long white School soccer socks and plain white tennis shoes or cricket boots with white laces. Hurlyvale cap.
Soccer
Soccer Practice: Regulation white shorts and house T-shirt. Shin pads and soccer boots with regulation white and turquoise socks.
Soccer Matches: Regulation turquoise shorts and harlequin turquoise and white shirt. Regulation white and turquoise socks with soccer boots.
Netball
Netball Practice: Regulation white/Black shorts and house T-shirt. Short plain white socks and white takkies or white trainers with white shoe laces.
Netball Matches: Regulation harlequin white and turquoise shirt with regulation turquoise skirt. Short plain white socks and plain white takkies or white trainers with white laces.
The regulation Hurlyvale Primary School tracksuit may be worn over the above, in cold weather.
Rugby Matches
Rugby kit sponsored by the school.
Athletics
Harlequin shirt with white shorts. Short, plain white socks and white trainers. The regulation Hurlyvale Primary School tracksuit may be worn over the above in cold weather.
Practice: White/Black shorts and house T-shirt.
Hockey
Girls: Practice and Matches – same as for Netball, with regulation white and turquoise long socks.
Boys: Practice and Matches – same as for Soccer.
Shinpads are compulsory and gum guards are recommended from Grade 3 onwards.
If no sport uniform is required, then the full school uniform must be worn for all sport events.
